Translucent & Clear Plastic Sheeting
Translucent and Clear C & A film are ideal as a vapor barrier or drop cloth, our construction film and agricultural film come in continuous rolls of durable low-density polyethylene that are folded. Plastic sheeting provides great protection from weather and debris. From wall construction, pit covers, and vapor and moisture barriers to concrete curing, mulching, weather protection on buildings, and flashing, our poly sheeting films are on the job.

Plastic sheeting is available in a variety of thicknesses, which are defined in mils, where one mil is equivalent to 0.001 inches. Each thickness is designed to fulfill a certain purpose, depending on the need for durability and flexibility.
1-2 Mil
Use: Perfect for providing protection and covering that is not too heavy.
Applications: Dust covers, paint masking, or use as a drop cloth to protect floors and furniture during painting tasks are some of the applications for this material.
3–4 Mil
Use: Suitable for protection of a medium-duty nature with a little bit extra durability.
Applications: Covers for equipment, temporary window coverings, and moderate protection from precipitation and debris outdoors are some examples of applications.
5-6 Mil
Use: The 5-6 mil usage is more robust for medium-duty outdoor use while maintaining its flexibility and providing increased longevity.
Applications: include coverings for greenhouses, vapor barriers in the building industry, and underlayments for concrete pours to prevent moisture from accumulating.
7-8 Mil
Use: Designed for use in heavy-duty applications that require a modest amount of flexibility and a high level of puncture resistance.
Applications: A few examples are protective wraps for heavier things while they are being transported, encapsulation of crawl spaces, and agricultural ground covers.
10 mil
Use: It is extremely thick and extremely long-lasting, making it suitable for applications that require heavy-duty work over an extended period of time.
Applications: Pond liners, long-term construction barriers, and environmental confinement for regions that require protective measures against high levels of moisture are some of the examples where it is an excellent choice.
12 Mil
Use: Applications that require maximum strength and puncture resistance are ideal for the use of 12+ mil, which is a highly durable material.
Applications: Concrete curing coverings, giant containment liners, and regions that are subjected to substantial wear and tear are common applications for this thickness of plastic sheeting.
The proper choice will be determined by a number of considerations, including the climate, the material's intended usage, and the desired lifetime. Each thickness has its own set of benefits.
