These crystal clear, wholesale plastic ice bags come with twist ties included for resealing unused ice. These plastic ice bags are also pre-printed with a Polar Bear or Dog image. 5 lb, 8 lb, 10 lb, 20 lb, and 50-pound ice bags are in stock and ready to deliver immediately. They are made with virgin resins, which are FDA & USDA-approved for food contact. EVA has been added to these bags to increase their strength, and puncture resistance, all the while reducing brittleness at ice-cold temperatures of -20ºF.

Plain top ice bags come in two different designs. The polar bear design has "Pure Ice" printed across the top. The cool dog design has "Crystal Ice" printed across the top of the ice bag.

How do you keep ice bags frozen?

To keep your bagged ice frozen from filling to when the customer gets it. Pre-freeze your bags before filling them. This keeps the ice at a constant temp while being filled. A room-temperature ice bag can melt the outer layer of the ice, causing it to stick together. Ice bags have additives in them that prevent them from getting brittle at low temperatures so it's in your best interest to pre-freeze your ice bags before filling.

Are plastic ice bags safe for food contact?

Yes, our plastic ice bags are made from food-grade polyethylene and are safe for storing ice that will be consumed. All of our ice bags meet FDA and USDA standards for food contact as they are made from virgin resins.

How do you seal plastic ice bags?

Ice bags can be sealed in multiple ways. Twist ties are included with all of our plain top plastic ice bags. You can also use bag tape to seal your ice bags. We also offer c-rings also known as hog rings which are a small metal ring that are crimped around the neck of the plastic ice bag using hog-ring pliers.
